What this change means to you, our valued customer:

As a result of this upgrade, you will be asked to do two things:
  • Record a new outgoing voicemail greeting.
  • Create a new personal identification number (PIN).

Frequently Asked Questions
I got a message about my voicemail service – is something changing?
Yes. We are migrating your voicemail service. As part of that migration we are asking that you re-record your voicemail greeting and re-establish your personal identification number (PIN).
After the upgrade occurs early in the morning of April 19, 2008 you will be prompted to re-record your greeting and re-establish a PIN the first time you try to access your voicemail system.
Why are you changing my voicemail?
We are continually working to improve the quality of the products and services that we deliver to you. As part of that ongoing improvement, we are migrating all of our voicemail customers to a new voicemail system.
Why am I receiving multiple voicemail messages about the voicemail upgrade?
We want to ensure that you are aware of the upcoming changes since you will have to take some action. We apologize if this is causing an inconvenience.
What happens to the messages that are on my old voicemail system?
The messages on the old system will remain on the old system until you delete them, or until the messages are auto-deleted by the system 30 days after their deposit. Following conversion, the new voicemail system will give you the option to be transferred back to the old voicemail system to listen to past messages – you will use your previous PIN to access messages from the old system. This option will expire approximately 30 days after migration.
How do I re-record my outgoing voice message?
Following the migration early in the morning on April 19, 2008 the voicemail system will guide you through the process of creating a new voicemail greeting through a series of prompts. Please note: you must call from your home phone when you create your new outgoing voice message.
How do I establish a personal identification number?
Following the migration early in the morning on April 19, 2008 you will automatically be prompted to create a new PIN. The PIN must be between four and 10 digits in length, and may not be the last four digits of your telephone number. Please note: you must call from your home phone when you to establish your new PIN.
How do I access my voicemail when I am away from home?
Once you have re-established your PIN and re-recorded your outgoing greeting, simply dial your home number from any telephone, and press * when you hear your voicemail greeting. You will be prompted to enter your PIN to retrieve your messages.
I just tried to establish my new greeting and PIN, but I didn’t hear the prompts.
If before April 19, 2008: The upgrade will not occur until April 19, 2008. You will not hear the prompts until migration is complete.
If after April 19, 2008: Try again in a few hours. If you don’t hear the prompts to re-establish a PIN and re-record your greeting by the end of the day on April 20 please contact customer service.
What if I don’t or am unable to change my greeting or establish a PIN immediately?
You will not be able to access your messages until you re-record your greeting and re-establish a PIN. Until you successfully complete those two requirements, you will be prompted to re-record your greeting and re-establish a PIN each time you attempt to access your voicemail. Please note: both steps must be completed from your home phone.
What will callers hear until I rerecord my greeting?
Until you successfully re-record your greeting, callers will hear a generic outgoing greeting: "You have reached the voice mailbox of < phone number>. Please leave a message after the tone. When you are finished recording, hang up or press pound for more options."
I don’t subscribe to the voicemail service now, but would like to sign up - how do I do that?
Customer Service is happy to set up a voicemail account for you, please contact us at 866-936-2008 during our regular business hours.
